Can you guys help to build/correct this list?

To start with, I'm aware of following Indian Republic coins that are considered rare/hard to find:

- Land Vital Resource 2 Rupees (only 500 mintages as what I heard)

- 1996 Subhash Chandra Bose 2 Rupees Calcutta mint

- 2007 Lokamnya Bal Gangadhar Tilak coin released with "Tilakji" instead of "Tilak"

- 1960, 1970 1 Rupee

- 1982 National Integration 50 Paise - Calcutta Mint

- 1996 Second Crop Science Conference 5 Rupees

- 2004 Single Cross 5 Rupees and also 2 Rupees and 1 Rupee

- 1953/1954 1 Paisa Hydrabad mint

If you don't mind me correcting you;

1> There are no 1960 1 Rupees of ROI. The one sold by Todywalla was pattern piece and not a legal tender.

2>1953 and 1954 1 paisa was before decimalisation and hence the denomination should be pice.

3>Not a correcetion really but I haven't seen any confirmed reports of definitive 2004 cross 5 Rupees and 2 Rupees.

Ranjit, thanks for sharing this list but is that correct list or list of Mr Jinadatha's collection list. Please let me know if you know, I am following his list only but in definative series I found I have some other coins also which is not listed in this list.

Satyaprakash, yes this is Mr. Jinadatha's list and while I personally am impressed with such a great details, I agree with you that it's not entirely complete. Both definitive and commemporative coins list have some missing listings. I consulted Krause list and it has couple of misses too. Considering coin collection is an evolving process and that we may encounter new coin varities, it might be difficult to have all the coins covered in the listing :)

It might be good idea to share such coins and information on them in this forum.

Roni, as you have mentioned 2007 Parliament 50 paise coin that means till 2007 we had parliament coin and then it got changed. Becuase 2003 onward I am not sure if we have 50 paise coin till 2008

Yes, after 2003 the next 'parliament building' 50p coin was issued in 2007. I have seen only Calcutta mint and Noida mint issue of this coin. After 2007 the new 'fist' series was introduced.

I can't say about Kruase catalog value but I came across quite a few, about 20-30 10 paise 'Marat' coins during my lifetime. Maybe I am plain lucky :D.

I remeber when I was a kid seeing my grandpa bring a whole mint jute bag of this coin from the bank. I only saved 2 or 3 pieces from that lot just coz it looked pretty.
