A few months ago our ICN community member Ken Potter of Koinpro send me a few shots of his 1989 Hyderabad mint km#79.4 DDR coin.
Doubling in Indian coins are not common and hence I thought of sharing the macro shots of this rare error coin.

probably the die was loose and so the year/date punched out of slot.in recent 2 Rupee Mudra coins you can notice bangles missing in lot of coins due to die worn out

Nalin, if you magnify all the images, you'll notices all the devices in the coin's reverse exhibit doubling to some extent. Doubled die errors occurs when the die gets doubled during the hubbing process and as a result all the coins strucked with the doubled die will have doubled die errors.

I've got on similar in my collection. Got it from circulation while travelling in Kerala. Lucky huh? :)
