Goodnews for all coin collector.RBI has launched 150 rupee coin made inkolkatta mint..weight 35 grams..consist of 50% silver,40%copper,5%nilke and very soon rbi is going to launch plastic currency indenomination of 10 rupee

@Arjun Yes, Hyderabad Mint has minted circulating commemorative 5 Rupees coins of all the events you mentioned except 50th Anniversary of UN.

Are this 150 Rs coins available as Commerative coins or for normal circulation with the face value of 150 Rs .

Dear Rony , i understand the booking for 150 Rs coin is already closed then y the post from Amit above says" RBI has launced 150rs ...."

the commemorative coin booking of Tagore was closed last year itself.

Vinod,I think your question should be directed towards Amit instead of me :D Anyway I think Amit wanted to let us know about the metal composition of the coin that is launched and not about booking.

Among these I only have the SBI and ONGC commemorative coin in my collection from HYD mint.
