Can someone tell me the price of the following notes

1- KGVI 10 RUPEES FRONTFACE SIGNED BY C.D.DESMUKH

2.-KGVI 2, 5 AND 10 RUPEE OF J.B. TAYLOR

3-KGV 2,5 AND 10 RUPEE

Catalog values assuming the notes are in VF grade are:

1- $10

2- $25, $20, $35

3- What signature/year??

There were no 2 Rupees notes of KGV. The catalog value of 5 and 10 Rupees notes in VF condition are $85 and $ 100 respectively.

Sorry, I can't tell you from where you can purchase these notes at catalog values. Catalog values are meant as price guides, market values differ.

2/8 Rupee Note British INDIA

Approx Market Value in UNC condition 4,00,000/-

That too with Madras Mint is 5,00,000/- Too hard to find in good condition

Buyers should be very Careful becasue 90% of these Notes are Fake in Market

One Rupee Notes are Issued in book of 25

But These 2/8 Rupee notes are issued as singles

What are the marks one could search to deffrienciate between the fake and original note of it. 


I have come across a type of one of these. how can I check it. was there many types of these notes have different water marks or signs.

It will be of very great help.

Don't Buy High Value Currency without Certification

There are Rare notes like

Rs.2 KG VI "Red Serial Number" UNC

2/8 KG V Note

1000 Rupee Notes of British India

Gulf Issue

HAJ issue etc.,

Dont Buy this without Certification for value above 100K

there are companys like PCGS, PMG,NGC etc., to give Certificate for their Genuness and Condition

i have one bundle notes of rs. 2 signed by jb taylor with same serial number, can you give me an idea about its worth now {Edited}

Single 2 rupee notes of JB Taylor cost around $30-$100 depending on the condition. A full bundle definitely carries more premium than single notes. So I would say your notes are worth $3000 - $5000 depending on your ability to find a buyer. Please do post pictures of the notes so we are able to appraise it better.
