Krause lists these three types for KN#492. Does anyone know what C/I, A/I means?

 1901C C/I, “C” incuse

 1901B A/I, “B” incuse

 1901B C/I, “B” incuse

I thought C/I was C Incuse but again there is also a A/I with B Incuse. It's gotten me confused.

I know this is an old post but and I hope you have figured it out.  In anycase, this site explains it very well  http://jfcampbell.us/india/victoria/rupee-obv.htm

It is a good article but it only talks about bust types, not really about what's incuse. If you norice the three variations there is no variation for bust C listed in Krause.

I'm not following your question. The A, B and C are the bust types of Victoria. As you listed above there are two variations of bust C listed in Krause.  1901C C/I, “C” incuse  and  1901B C/I, “B” incuse.  The "incuse" refers to the mint mark and not the bust type. Am I missing something?

Sorry my post wasn't very clear. Bust types are clear and what's incuse is also clear to me but what is not clear to me is what does the "/I" in "C/I" mean? If the "/I" is in incuse why specifically mention incuse B also? Am I still not clear?

The I in "C/I" refers to the reverse type and not the mint type "incuse". See http://jfcampbell.us/india/victoria/rupee-rev.htm. So 1901B C/I  (incuse) means : Year 1901, mint Bombay (incuse), with Obverse type C and reverse type I.  To view a checklist of all the varities see http://jfcampbell.us/india/victoria/rupee-list.htm. Hope this helps.
