I am also waiting for the I.T. coins..prior to this i had received the coins from kolkotta mint but there was no octroi on the same.. Anyone is having the contact details ..where we can ask for the delivery of our I.T. Coins....??

@AJAY MAURYA Hello Ajay Yes you are right now octroi is being charged for sets sent from Kolkata Mint. Two of my friends who received sets had to pay octroi. This is applicable in Maharashtra. Vivek | |

But they have already collected excise duty, what not taxes and even after that too, they are charging octroi. this should have been taken care of by mint. | |

Hello Ajay Octroi is a local tax collected on various articles brought into a district for consumption. Currently it is being chaged in Maharashtra. Till now I think they were not aware of UNC/Proof sets it seems. From last 1-2 sets they have started charging this tax in Maharashrta for Many cities. Vivek | |

Is it for all cities across India or only Maharashtra state cities are doing? Because till now I have not been charged any Octroi and I am leaving in Ahmedabad.

This depends on state government...Earlier there were many states charging Octroi...but currently there are very very few...Maharashtra is one of them. I am sure Gujrat is not charging. Vivek | |

As per my information, Octroi is for City area only, if anyone is staying outside municipal corporation, they dont have to pay the Octroi. Please correct me if I am wrong. | |

Thanks but i booked on 19th Feb and have still not received my set. was yours also Proof. Also does anyone knows what happens if a set gets returned undelilvered (in case the delivery guy finds the home close). Does the mint couriers it again ? does anyone has any knowledge about this. | |
