The above coin is now open for bidding, and will be live on September 7th. Take a guess for the heck of it, and you never know what the price will be in an auction folks.

Navonil i think the price is very high in the auction, in INDIA people generally preserve coins for religious purposes( pujas etc), im sure if you put some ads you will be able to find the 1939 rupee for some 50,000-  rupees may be a few thousands more, but 3-4 lacs is too high.

Yep, thats right, im sure i can sell even my UNC 1901 queen victoria one rupee coin for 20-30k or put an auction with some history about  it( last silver coin of queen victoria, minted after she died or before controversy, add one more controversy they were withdrawn after the queen died) and see the price grow exponentially.

you think wrong on my behalf, and i only know what i think unless you have some superpowers that can read others thoughts. i'm not going to guess this time, and i NEVER said $50k. you did. the market dictates the price, and i know what i think.

Coins are nothing but history. Comparing 1901 to 1939 is like comparing apples to oranges. After I wrote that story I ran it by one of the most respected numismatists in the world that knows much about India. I'm not going to name drop, but he mentioned how I left the story open for the reader to extract his or her information, and it's information to ponder. I also had the help of a collector's that have oceans of information, and I gave proper credit to all those that helped me write/think up the story.  I guess your 24 words for 1901, and my 4500 words for 1939 carry the weight. I am a salesman no doubt. But, I keep my morals, and those don't get sold. You can choose do whatever with yours as you please- Regards

you are mistaken. there are not thousands of these coins. there are BILLIONS of these coins, and you must be the market maker so boldly stating the price. put an ad in the paper for a year, and let me know the results. we can share them with the world.

well in your ebay you put the price around $70K so its safe to say that is your expectation so when i said $50k that's understatement....

besides you don't have to be rude if my thought is wrong....you can say it politely....and I hope you understand how I came to conclusion about your estemation....

the key words in your sentences are "MAY", "I'M SURE IF" and "GENERALLY". i use those words as well. but anything is possible. the earth MAY explode tomorrow, GENERALLY people pay taxes on April 15th within the UNITED STATES, and "I'M SURE IF" i start digging the ground below my feet i will find precious metals sooner or later. but maybe i will end up in China

no. you can't speak for me or ASSUME anything about me or my thoughts. [EDITED : See Forum Rule 1] i can ask whatever price i want for my coin, and i can accept whatever price i want as well. if you keep thinking about what i am thinking. you may be in a labriynth of your own mind-

Navonil I don't blindly try to understand anybody or ESPECIALLY speak for them without knowing them as a person. You should not assume anything about me.

do you understand the differance between "speaking for anybody" and "guess" what other can want?

and if one "should not assume" why you start a topic where people should "assume" what would be the price of a coin????
